Frances Obre

With over 25 years of professional services experience, I’ve been fortunate enough to work across the globe and across a range of different industries. I hold a Bachelor of Business, Human Resources from the University of Newcastle and post graduate qualifications in management and finance.

I was an investment banker in Europe for a decade for a large American bank, was a joint founder of a successful investment management firm in Newcastle and have also held management roles in the legal, technology and engineering sectors.

As CEO of Skildare I work closely with the Founder/Directors in delivering Skildare’s mission to provide local businesses with straight forward HR advice and support. My focus in leading the team at Skildare will always be on providing a quality and tailored service to our clients and creating long lasting and trusted relationships. I am a people-led leader and believe in living and breathing our firm’s values.

Outside the Skildare walls I am a proud Novocastrian and sit on the board of the City of Newcastle Future Fund and work with a local incubation hub. I am also heavily involved and passionate about community sport both playing (although this gets harder every year!) and coaching. You will find me most weekends or evenings on a soccer field, hockey pitch, basketball court or cricket ground.
