Experience

I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, majoring in Journalism and Sport and Recreation, at Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Marketing and an Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management.

My background in communication led me into marketing and communications roles, where, over time, I developed a strong interest in how organisations lead people, manage change, and build and maintain effective workplace cultures.  This led me to the HR field, where I have applied my skills more directly to support leaders and strengthen people systems.

I bring 17 years of leadership and people experience across local government, banking, aged care and higher education, including five years leading a human resources division in local government. My career has spanned marketing and communications, business development, strategic planning and HR, giving me a broad perspective on how people, culture and business performance intersect.

Specialisation & Key Achievements

My varied background allows me partner with clients to understand their unique challenges and deliver practical, people-focused solutions that drive meaningful outcomes.

I have extensive experience leading organisational culture initiatives, employee engagement programs, business improvement projects, and strategic workforce planning, helping to strengthen capability, improve employee experience and deliver meaningful change.

This year I was awarded Dux of my cohort in the Workforce Planning Intensive program through Local Government Professionals, highlighting my abilities to facilitate and plan for future workforce needs while balancing operational and strategic priorities for clients.

I am also passionate about helping organisations define and embed their values. I have led corporate values programs, employee engagement surveys and action planning, as well as EVP strategies that strengthen employer brand to help attract quality talent.

I am experienced in implementing and optimising human resource information systems, leadership coaching, and personality profiling. As an accredited Facet5 facilitator, I enjoy delivering team development workshops that build trust, strengthen communication and support high-performing teams.

Beyond HR

My husband, Andrew and I balance our careers with raising our three children who are in their teens and tweens, running them to their many sporting activities and car-pooling with our wonderful group of friends, without whom, life would not work.

We volunteer our time to coach and manage our children’s community soccer and netball teams, and I am an active member of our swimming club board.
