Experience

With over 15 years in the HR space, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a diverse mix of industries including medical devices, clinical research, higher education, utilities, and mining/manufacturing. I started my HR career in my hometown of Sydney, building a solid foundation before making the move to Newcastle in 2014. The lifestyle here has been a game-changer, and I’ve loved every minute of it.

Along the way, I completed a Master of Management through the Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), which strengthened my capability in organisational strategy, leadership, and people development.

Throughout my career, I’ve focused on aligning people strategies with business goals, shaping cultures where employees can truly thrive, and driving leadership development and engagement.

Specialisation & Key Achievements

I’m passionate about designing HR strategies that create real impact - whether that’s championing diversity and inclusion, shaping organisational values, or supporting leaders to grow and succeed. I’m experienced in implementing practical HR systems and delivering strong recruitment outcomes.

My real specialty lies in Employee Relations. I bring deep experience in resolving complex grievances, conducting thorough investigations, and strengthening performance management frameworks. I’m confident navigating sensitive issues and committed to achieving fair, constructive outcomes.

In recent years, I’ve become highly skilled in Award interpretation, classification reviews, and mediation processes. I combine analytical thinking with strong relationship-building to deliver clear, compliant, and commercially sound advice to clients across a range of sectors. I’m also certified in Hogan Assessments and accredited in the Korn Ferry job evaluation method, tools I genuinely enjoy using to lift individual, team, and organisational performance.

Beyond HR

Outside of work, family is my world. I’m a mum to two energetic boys, Tyler and Sebastian, and wife to Mark. We love getting outdoors: beach days, park adventures, and bike rides are our go-tos. We’re absolute summer people: swimming, sunshine, and holidays are our vibe. Winter… not so much! We mostly spend it counting down the days until the warm weather returns.
